The three most common types of lashes are faux mink, silk and synthetic. These types come in different curls, diameters and lengths. Each individual lash extension is glued on to your natural lash, and should NEVER touch your skin. The best are the silk and faux mink. The synthetic lashes are stiff and thick and… just yuck!
One type of lashing now available, is called Volume Lash (or 3D-6D). These have made a big impact in the industry and with my clients. This lashing technique is where the lash artist picks up multiple (smaller diameter, individual lash extensions), dips them in the glue and applies them to one single natural lash. These thinner diameter lashes weigh much less together, than one individual single bonded extensions. This offers that extra full look. I believe so strongly in quality, my clients always get the best top of the line lashes when they see me! I plan to be working with manufacturers and creating my own premium brand of lashes soon!
